WRITTEN IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AMIR BAKIAN NOVEMBER 17, 2023
These days there’s no lack of good books to read. The trick is finding a way to sort through them for the best ones!

Here at IndieReader, our job is to recommend the best self-published, hybrid, and small press books. Those that receive a rating of 4-5 stars (the top being 5 stars) are deemed IndieReader Approved.

Find out more about an author who meets that criteria.

Reenita’s story begins with a childhood dream in India, where she harbored ambitions of becoming a writer. “If you asked my ten-year-old self what I wanted to be when I grow up, my answer was always, I will be a writer of books,” she recalls. Growing up in a business-centric, conservative family and a society that didn’t highly regard professions in storytelling, her aspirations seemed like a distant reality. Despite these cultural and familial constraints, Reenita’s passion for writing and storytelling never waned.

Many surveys indicate that a vast majority of women, even those financially independent, don't make their own investment decisions. Reenita Malhotra Hora and Divya Vij are trying to change this through their book Money Smart - The Indian Woman's Guide to Managing Wealth. The authors share their views with Business Line.
With flowing, shiny locks and a definite gleam in her eyes, Reenita Malhotra Hora greets me warmly as we sit down to chat over coffee and tea. Her new book, Forever Young: Unleashing the Magic of Ayurveda has just hit bookstores and aims to unveil the secrets behind the ancient Indian medicine and how people can balance their lives, minds and bodies.
Bloomberg Radio producer and reporter Reenita Malhotra Hora has joined Otto Radio as its vice president of programming and audience development. Hora had been working for Bloomberg Radio in its San Francisco office as an on-air news reporter, writer and producer. She was also working on the “Daybreak Asia” program.
Otto Radio has signed new content agreements with CBS News, ABC News, Bloomberg, Associated Press and global news agency AFP. The audio news stories will include business, lifestyle and sports “that will create an enhanced listening experience for Otto Radio listeners across all digital platforms,” the company says.

Launched in 2015, San Francisco-based Otto Radio plays audio news and stories based on a user’s desired listening time. Interests determine accessed news and podcasts, while listeners can create dedicated radio stations by searching topics.

As the number of podcasts seem to grow exponentially, the chances of the consumer finding new podcasts decrease just as much. Enter Otto Radio, one of a new generation of podcast curators. Here, VP/Programming and Audience Development Reenita Malhotra Hora explains how Otto Radio sifts through the avalanche of available podcasts and finds the ones that are perfectly geared for their growing audience's tastes.
One is, more often than not, gripped by an overwhelming curiosity while in front of an author who has penned three non-fiction works on Ayurveda and more recently, a novel, Reenita Malhotra Hora, who slips perfectly into the character of an author, a radio show presenter and broadcast journalist, switches roles occasionally yet all the time effortlessly! She opens the conversation with Operation Mom- How I got my mother a life and a man, her book that has been published by Harper Collins.
